Hairston Creek and multiple draws and springs traverse the property and are all currently flowing large volumes of water.

Wildlife: The ranch habitat attracts most of the native Texas wildlife, whitetail deer, wild turkeys, feral hogs, coyotes, bobcats, ringtail cats, foxes, raccoons, mourning and white wing doves and many other native small animals and birds are present on the ranch. The Balcones Canyonlands National Wildlife Refuge is located some 20 miles to the east.

Grasses and Trees: Native grasses and trees have flourished with habitat management. Cedar growth has been actively controlled and maintained. Minimal grazing pressure (currently 50 animal units on the ranch) have allowed the natural grasses to flourish. The predominant hardwoods on the ranch are Live Oak, Post Oak and Elm.
